EVOH-Based pH-Sensitive Optode Array and Chemometrics: From Naked-Eye Analysis to Predictive Modeling to Detect Milk Freshness

This work aims to develop an efficient sensing device detect milk freshness when stored at typical home conditions. The synthesis of the pH-sensitive optode array, experimental setup for monitoring, and array images acquisition procedure are presented. employment various chemometric tools on RGB triplets visualize, compare, predict spoilage commercial types is discussed. conclusions drawn from multivariate analyses colors were confirmed using different independent methods. Despite apparent simplicity, here proposed fulfills requirements both consumer-friendly naked-eye analysis chemometrics-assisted prediction freshness. Furthermore, application real samples during conditions represents a major step forward in panorama indicators dairy products.
